What are my expectations?

Journal:
This course is a dream for me. When I saw my name on the list I didn’t believe it. It was something that I would really like. I remember when I was a child I always said that one day I would go to the USA to study and enjoy the place. Here I am. Now I am 32 years old and I know that it isn’t too late to learn.  It is going to be a unique experience in my life that is going to open a lot of doors. I hope to learn a lot and I develop my knowledge and have a great experience with the language because I am in contact with the natives. When I come back to Brazil I am going to try to put everything in practice with my students because while here I have the opportunity to study, rethink, learn, reflect and live the language for some weeks.
I am here just one week and the course exceeded my expectations because of the teachers. They are really fantastic. I just would like to have more time to stay here and learn more with them.  I liked the way that the course was organized and the  inclusion of all the language aspects: methodology, pronunciation, technology, listening, speaking, reading and writing as we have a lot of homework.
Before I arrived here I thought to do many different things or things that I had never done in Brazil and I already have done them. For example, yesterday we went to the community center to volunteer help. I never did something like this in Brazil.
I´m dedicating  myself as a teacher and as a student, always reading, studying hard and having contact with the language. I am sure that I  have learned a lot as a teacher, and this is a process that never finishes but I think I am on the right path.  This course gives us the opportunity to practice and reflect upon our teaching and always improve! Besides, I am making new friends and knowing new and different cultures.
